Thayer Reservoir (Cook Pond) lies just downstream of the Holden reservoirs, off Olean street in Worcester.
Though it's no longer used as a reservoir (note the swimming beach in the distance), it remains a place of largely unspoiled natural beauty.
The reservoir closest to the city is Holden #2, whose dam is shown here (view is west toward Reservoir Street in Holden).
Looking north, in the distance is the dam for Holden Reservoir #3.
