Cancellation Information

With great regret we must cancel tomorrow's scheduled Patriot Daylily Society meeting. The weather forecast just is not in our favor, and there is a possibility Bedford Library may not even be open tomorow. The April program has been rescheduled to Saturday, November 4, 2017. For November, Adele says she will have additional pictures from the 2017 CanAm and Wisconsin events; and I will have pictures from the upcoming AHS National in Norfolk, VA to show in addition to my photos of the 2016 Regional. Don't forget we have two events for the summer - a visit to Noel's Nursery in July, and a PDS picnic (dates still to be set).

-------------------------------
Tomorrow's weather is a tough call. The forecast for the Bedford area (and Merrimack Valley and points northward and westward) is for up to six inches of snow overnight and into Saturday AM (but with roads remaining just wet). Or, it could just be a heavy rainstorm; the weather "experts" just don't know. If it's snow, the Bedford Library may have a delayed opening or not open at all. Additionally, if it does rain on Saturday, the forecast calls for the return of snow during the afternoon, so you could arrive during a rainstorm and be driving home in a snowstorm. We won't have a really clear picture of tomorrow's weather until very late tonight or early Saturday morning.

So, before your Board decides whether or not to go ahead with this meeting, it would be nice to hear from as many of you as possible whether or not you are planning to come to the PDS meeting tomorrow (weather permitting). If more than a handful of people want to come, we'll continue to watch the weather in hopes we can have the meeting as scheduled.
